It's hard taking photos in somewhere so dark. Dark and seedy, tiny and charming. Somewhere like the Temple Bar in Manchester. An ongoing fascination of mine, it's basically a bar in a converted public toilet.
Weirdly enough, there's a kind of eklectic romanticism about the place. From the candles burning day and night on the tables, to the jukebox loaded with The Cure and the yellow (real) tulips in beer bottle vases.
And, as Nick likes to point out, there's no toilet! How ironic!
